Billy Joel is one of the most beloved voices in music, but the Piano Man recently admitted that he doesn't like his own voice. He divulged the insecurity during a recent interview.

"I always wanted to sing like somebody else — I never liked my own voice," Joel confessed. "I would go in the studio and I'd do a recording and I'd come back in the control room and listen and go 'Oh God, it's that guy.' And I'd always be disappointed — no matter how good I thought the writing was, I never liked my own voice. Always wanted to sound like somebody else."

One of his workarounds is trying to channel "people with these wonderful voices," like Sting, Ray Charles, and Elvis Costello.

Despite not liking the sound of his own voice, Joel released "Turn The Lights Back On," his first song in 17 years, earlier this year. He's also consistently touring, and made history at Madison Square Garden this year. In fact, he's got a New Year's Eve show planned and already has touring plans for 2025. Take a look at those dates below.
